EGIBL signed an MoU with The Friends of Burns Centre As part of its community services initiatives EGIBL signed an MoU with The Friends of Burns Centre whereby EGIBL included the Burns Centre as its approved Charity Organization. Under this arrangement the Burns Centre will receive regular contributions from EGIBL by way of charity funds.
Telephone a Tree To fight pollution in Lahore the Corps HQ and EGIBL recently joined hands to address environment related issues. EGIBL sponsored a campaign “Telephone a Tree” for plantation of trees within Lahore Cantt and D.H.A. The residents of Lahore Cantt. and D.H.A could order a free plantlet of their choice which was procured and planted in their house by the organizers.

Distribution of Holy Quran EGIBL had extended support to the Alamgir Welfare Trust (AWT) in their Hajj facilitation activities. Each year the Saudi government sends copies of the Holy Quran to the Pakistani government to be gifted to the Hujjaj. AWT assists the government in distribution of the same. Under this arrangement EGIBL provided plastic bags which were used to distribute the Holy Quran to the returning Hajis (by PIA flights). This activity was conducted at the Karachi Hajj terminal only and thousands of bags were distributed.
EGIBL sponsored world renowned squash player, Shahid Zaman Khan In an effort to encourage the level of sports in Pakistan, EGIBL has decided to take a positive step in uplifting the sporting scenario of the country. During this period he won several national as well as international tournaments through his hard work and God gifted talent. Despite receiving countless offers from prestigious universities such as Harvard and Princeton, Shahid decided to stay home and represent his beloved country. With his family's love and support he defeated many top ranked squash players of the world and came to be ranked as no. 12 in world squash rankings. EGIBL is committed to promoting a healthy community and supporting the youth of Pakistan by assisting them in taking advantage of opportunities within the country and abroad. Supporting Shahid Zaman in his sporting endeavors is part of Emirates Global Islamic Bank’s community service initiatives.
