Telephone a Tree To fight pollution in Lahore the Corps HQ and Emirates Global Islamic Bank recently joined hands to address environment related issues. EGIBL sponsored a campaign “Telephone a Tree” for plantation of trees within Lahore Cantt and D.H.A. The residents of Lahore Cantt. and D.H.A could order a free plantlet of their choice which was procured and planted in their house by the organizers.

Distribution of Holy Quran EGIBL had extended support to the Alamgir Welfare Trust (AWT) in their Hajj facilitation activities. Each year the Saudi government sends copies of the Holy Quran to the Pakistani government to be gifted to the Hujjaj. AWT assists the government in distribution of the same. Under this arrangement EGIBL provided plastic bags which were used to distribute the Holy Quran to the returning Hajis (by PIA flights). This activity was conducted at the Karachi Hajj terminal only and thousands of bags were distributed.
